Am i missing something?

Pregnancy seems to be in the air but I must not be breathing it...
Every where I turn there seems to be baby buzz all around. Either info about someone being preggo, someone talking about post preggo or even the worst part of preggo...losing the baby (which I don't wish on anyone). But it just seems like a lot of people getting pregnant without schedules and calendars except...me!

So I am questioning...am I missing something?

Nothing to report...

Not much has happened, I went to a OBGYN and she suggested that I think about my weight before getting pregnant. She would like for me to drop 30pounds...easier said than done! But cycles are still cycling and things still seem to be going well!

Why don't people understand???

A Rant will occur in 3..2..1..

Is it just me? Or when people know you are ttc the tend to ask you "Well are you pregnant yet?" "I heard you weren't feeling well, are you having morning sickness?" When you gonna stop wasting time?

DAMN IT!

It doesn't help to speed things up or make things go according to plans just because you continue to ask question!!! ~sorry for that rant~

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
I tested 2 days ago and got a BFN...I was heart broken and then 2 days latter AF showed up...this is good because this is the second scheduled AF that has come to visit!
However, I didn't do any of the things that I want to try, so I tried natural, next is to try PreSeed and the Pineapple core all while tracking my cycle...

Again, I do appologize for the rant, but have you ever felt like just telling people that they are not helping but they are actually stressing you out more? I think it should be ok do you?

Compliment of the day...

Since I BC I have received many compliments. View the story of My Big Chop-BC I work in a predominately white environment and many of my colleagues and clientele have noticed the change in my hair.

Even the Hubby has noticed and comments about it and compliments me on it. But today it was especially good to hear...

Today is Length Check Day...(a new series that I will be continuing on my hair blog: Thoughts Behind the Scenes. I asked RR to help me measure my hair in which he did. After helping me I asked him if he noticed how much it has grown? He said yea, I like it. I like it better than your old hair...We laughed about that I said What do you mean my old hair and he said I mean from getting perms and all that your hair looks healthy...

It felt good to hear and even better that he noticed...I love me some him!

It pays to have friends...

I have a friend/co-worker that is a registered nurse. I spoke to her about NFP and what she thought about the process, had she heard of it and other questions...

She had never heard of it, but understiid that it meant that we would be watching the calendar and doing personal examinations. She referred me to a OBGYN and thought that maybe my Dr. didn't have the answers that I needed. So I made an appointment for this well respected female doctor and of course my first choice doesn't have an opening until 2 almost 3 months from today. So I went with the second choice and she still isn't availabe for a month and a half...TTC although indirectly has been an eye opener and it lets me know how oot I am with my body!!! Maybe during this waiting period I will do something about that! HMMM!
When TTC did you look for a 2nd opinion?

Do Your Own Research

Through research on the net I found an alternative to taking clomid to get pregnant. It's called NFP Natural Family Planning. This is the techniques that the Catholic Churches uses to conceive and not to. So how does it work?

The goal before conceiving or trying not to is to know and understand your entire cycle, not just the AF we have come to know and hate! This includes taking and documenting your bbt, ice and ece. Not to mention the science behind documenting the.observations...

But I talked to my Hubby about it and there are some benefits to NFP such as no meds, no potentially harmful chemicals entering my body. Also connecting with my body on a deeper level. The cons are time...and the what if's...

I will keep you posted! Meanwhile have you used NFP if so whats your story successful or otherwise.

A New Chapter

Ahhhh...A new blog!
So, let me bring you up to speed!
I am 32 years old, 5 months post marrying the man of my dreams and I have a career that I love. So...now what? That’s what lots of people ask. IOW, when are you having babies?

My Hubby and I have known each other for 18 years and have been together for 10+ years but we just got married. I haven't had trouble getting pregnant although I have never really tried-but I was never on BC for long. And now, we are talking about trying. I've been to a endometrium specialist who says nothing is stopping me (except I may need medicine to assist me) from getting pregnant. But I would like to loose 5-20 pounds before I get pregnant. But, I am having a hard time finding my motivation to loose weight...to just get started!

I had a pp doctor’s appointment where lots of test were done. With the threat of diabetes hanging over my head, the fear of a hard/rough or complicated pregnancy-or something worse I know I need to get started. So my new blog, this blog will compile my experiences, activities all that come with "Being A Family".
